Food Revolution Day 2013–Mark Your Calendar! (Take That, Hurricane Sandy!)
|October 30, 2012||Posted by Stacy under Food Revolution, Improving school food|
With my family safe but without power and the state of my sister’s coastal New Jersey house still unknown (and another high tide rolling in as well speak), I am feeling slightly sick about all the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. But rather than worry about things that I can’t control or mourn the loss of the beautiful Spring Lake boardwalk, I’m going to turn my thoughts to something positive.
So, a happy announcement: I recently was selected to be a Food Revolution Ambassador for the Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Foundation. What this means is that I will be volunteering to further the mission of the foundation. The Food Revolution has selected a number of volunteers from around the world who showed a deep commitment to real food and I’m thrilled to be one of them.
As part of my new role as Food Ambassador, I’ve been asked to help spread the word about the next Food Revolution Day. The official date has just been announced, so mark your calendar for Friday, May 17, 2013.

About Jamie Oliver’s Food Foundation
Jamie’s Oliver’s Food Foundation wants to change the way people eat by educating every child about food empowering families by arming them with the skills and knowledge to cook again, and inspiring everyone to stand up for their right to better food, which, in turn, will fight the epidemic of diet-related diseases.
