A big storm blew in last night, leaving us with a foot of fresh snow–and a great excuse to stay at home and make Valentines. If you’re on board with skipping the candy this year (see Take the Candy-Free School Valentine Pledge), you may be wondering what to do instead. While I’m all for simple construction paper Valentines (or store bought–I’ve purchased them plenty of times), the following ideas are so cute and creative that I can’t help but share.
If your kids love Rainbow Loom as much as mine, they’ll love making these Let’s Band Together Valentines from Paper and Pigtails for their BFFs.
Give your child’s young classmates a lift with Paper Airplane Valentines from NoBiggie.
A free printable makes this Fortune Teller Valentine from Design Mom a snap to make.
Star Wars Glowstick Valentines from Stich/Craft are certain to be a hit with young would-be jedis.
You’re almost certain to get a rise with these Whoopie Cushion Valentines from Paging Supermom.
Because what kid doesn’t love a bouncy ball? Have a Ball This Valentine’s Day (with free printable!) from Dixie Delights.
Fun and functional You Rule Valentines from Relocated Living may score points with the teacher.
All you need is a red stamp pad and construction paper to pull off these Thumbprint Valentine Bookmarks from Crafts for All Seasons.
Of course, I’m partial to these adorable Fresh Fruit Valentines from Craftaholics Anonymous.
The perfect way to say “I love you”: an apple or other whole fruit adorned with a free printable fruit mask from Brandi at ABCD Eat Right.
For older grade schoolers, these Chapstick Valentines from ParentMap should fit the bill.
